Antigua

Antigua is situated among the Leeward islands in the West Indies. This small island is surrounded by 365 stunning white beaches. There is something for all tastes in Antigua with its diverse range of water sports and other activities as well as the perfect spots for relaxation. Whether it's the romantic getaway you've been dreaming of or a special treat for the whole family, there's something for everyone in Antigua. This tiny nation is so full of culture and heritage, and it's laid-back atmosphere will have you relaxing under the tropical sun in no time.

Where to go
No matter how much you want to crash on the beach for a week, it's well worth getting out to see some of the island. Half Moon Bay is something to look out for as is the restored naval dockyard of English Harbour. The capital, St. John's is well worth a visit and if you are feeling up to some walking there are several great hikes taking you to areas that are completely deserted.

When to go
Antigua has a tropical climate making it a suitable destination for year-round travel. High season from mid-December to mid-April is when the weather is at its best with little rain and cooling winds. September is the most threatening month for Hurricane season which is officially June 1 to October 31.
